According to Cai Weici, from the perspective of major economic indicators, the whole industry achieved rapid growth. From January to October, the total output value of the machinery industry was 1,366.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.93%; from January to September, the main business income was 1,842.3 billion yuan, up year-on-year. The growth was 26.16%; the total profit from January to September was 80.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.25%. Cai Weici said, “In the context of the apparent tightening of the economic environment at home and abroad this year, the machinery industry has basically achieved rapid growth this year, which is very difficult.”

At the same time, the adjustment of the industrial structure of the machinery industry has obviously accelerated, and it has manifested in four aspects:

First, the pace of product upgrades to the high-end is accelerating. The first is the acceleration of the development speed of clean energy equipment. In the first 10 months of this year, the output of hydropower units increased by 27.24% year-on-year, the output of thermal power units increased by 14.99%, and the proportion of thermal power generating units in the total output of power generation equipment decreased significantly; followed by the upgrading of the machine tool industry structure. New progress, the growth rate of CNC machine tools and numerical control systems is significantly faster than that of ordinary machine tools; once again, the development momentum of high-end instrumentation has become a bright spot for the development of the industry this year. The growth rate of the output value of automated instruments reaches 35%, which is much higher than 25% of the instrument industry. With an average growth rate, the profit rate of its main business income also reached 10%, and the domestic production of DCS systems called high-tech products has made considerable progress. In addition, the rapid development of high-end products is also reflected in some major equipment products, such as the breakthrough in the localization of long-distance pipelines for natural gas pipelines, and the successful development of compressors, drive motors, frequency converters, and pipeline valves for 10 million-ton compressors. And through rigorous testing by users, most of the products have been shipped to the pressurization station, and some products will be put into operation by the end of this year. Prior to this, the above-mentioned equipment of the West-East Gas Pipeline first-line and second-line were all basically imported.

Second, there has been a major breakthrough in key basic component research. For example, high-end hydraulic components have always been the weakest link in China's machinery industry. At present, the localization process has dawned; the high-end pressure transducer technology involving the automation instrument industry has also achieved substantial breakthroughs, and some products have been confirmed by users after exporting abroad; The self-innovation of ultra-high voltage AC and DC insulation bushings and transformer outlets, natural gas long-distance pipelines and large-scale valves for thermal power and nuclear power equipment, high-end seals for nuclear power installations, and ultra-high-parameter cast-forging parts also achieved encouraging results.

Third, the development of modern manufacturing service industries and the extension of industrial chains have become more and more conscious actions of outstanding companies. For example, Hangzhou Oxygen Plant, Sichuan Air Breeze, Shaanxi Drum, etc. all began to expand from the manufacturing of air separation equipment and compressors to construction gas stations, which not only opened up new business areas and profitable space, but also solved some small and medium-sized users. There is no capacity for self-built gas stations.

Fourth, the regional structure continues to adjust in the direction expected of industrial policies. In the first half of this year, the proportion of the total output value of the machinery industry in the central and western regions increased by 1.19 and 0.24 percentage points respectively. From the perspective of fixed asset investment, the growth rate of investment in the central and western regions in the first half of the year was faster than that in the eastern 20.08 and 13.36 respectively. This percentage point also creates conditions for the further increase in the proportion of output value of the machinery industry in the central and western regions in the future.

In addition, Cai Weici also pointed out that with the further deepening of market-oriented reforms, the growth rate of private enterprise profits is higher than the overall level of the industry, not only will help enhance the vitality of the development of the entire industry, but will also enhance the industry's endogenous resilience and stability of development. .
